The man responsible for launching the I.W.Harper brand is certainly a notable one among bourbon lovers. Isaac Wolfe Bernheim started production of the brand during the prohibition era in the US (1920-1933). During that time, Bernheim Brothers was one of only ten distilleries allowed to continue to make bourbon, as they had received a license to produce it for medicinal purposes.
