Incredible piece of American history from the early 20th century prohibition era. Although the box is quite damaged it is extremely rare to see it has survived for this long. As the tax strip is damaged we cannot make out the exact year of bottling, but having seen multiple pints like this it is most likely a 17 years old bottling distilled in 1917, and bottled in 1933.
Prohibition era bourbon has become an incredible piece of American history. Labels stating “for medicinal purposes only” and bottles in pint size very similar to a medicin bottle were used to ensure Americans could still enjoy their bourbon.
