Macallan 8 years old 1970’s. 750ml, 43%
Very first version of Macallan 8 with scew top. Macallan 8 was released in the 70’s. At the time, there was little interest in Macallan’s premium malts that were bottled at 15+ years old. As a result, a lot of this distillate was used for the 8 year old release. So it’s likely that the majority of whisky used in these bottlings is a lot older than 8 years!
