Very old version of I.W. Harper distilled just after world war 2. These early bottlings are widely regarded as far superior to their later 70’s counterparts.
The man responsible for launching the I.W.Harper brand is certainly a notable one among bourbon lovers. Isaac Wolfe Bernheim started production of the brand during the prohibition era in the US (1920-1933). During that time, Bernheim Brothers was one of only ten distilleries allowed to continue to make bourbon, as they had received a license to produce it for medicinal purposes.
